I love the way you set up the format as a Jeopardy A&Q, giving us the pertinent info, Marian. And how cool that good friend had a successful run on my favorite game show. It’s not easy. Kudos to her, and you for this fun RetroFlash.
Thanks, Betsy. I started with a longer story that didn’t say much more and thought I’d try something different.
Pretty clever, Marian. Especially the fact the you had to read it from the bottom up.
That’s the biggest challenge, Laurie ☺.
So clever, you! Brava!!
Thanks, Barb!
A: Loved this. Q: What was your reaction to this clever post?
Glad you liked it, Khati!
Very clever, Marian! You told the story perfectly and in only 100 words. And I am pretty sure all of us “Jeopardizers” (or whatever such groupies are called) were able to crack your code. And also loved Khati’s similarly patterned comment above.
Thanks, John, this turned out to be such a fun prompt, especially the old shows with so many personalities. Before the pandemic I would go to the gym and often caught the end of Jeopardy while I was on the cardio machines. Kept my brain engaged while I burned calories.
As others before me have said, this was very clever! You and Khati need to have a championship round for Queen of Cleverness (for a day, anyway). I’m intrigued by your mention of having started with a longer story though – I bet there is more to tell on this saga. Maybe you should get Adriana to write it!
I was going to do a more generic recap of game shows, then I decided to do the Match Game and didn’t like the story. Adriana kept jumping out, so I went with it.
A. Who’s Marian?
Q. Smart science writer with a sense of humor.
Thanks,Dana. Even nerds are funny sometimes. Here in Silicon Valley, nerd and geek are not insults.
